citeshine.com appears to be an online store/domain that has had limited publicly available information. I could not find evidence of a well-established company or service operating under the name “Citeshine.”

A wrong answer is worse than a missing one. The buyer who asks “what is this company?” gets a confident description of something else.

What we did with our own error
The Chinese answer in that report says citeshine.com had a Shopify record, domain registered December 2021, selling phone cases and accessories, with the source label Merchant Genius. That is the previous owner of the domain. It is not Citeshine.
On the day we published the baseline we also:
- Left the site readable to AI crawlers, and said so in robots.txt.
- Stated on the site, in llms.txt and in Organization structured data, that Citeshine is not that store.
- Published the prompts and the report with citeshine-audit.
A re-test is the only way to know whether the answer moved. We have not published one. Until we do, the day-0 report is the whole public result.
What we do for a product that is not ours

Can you edit the ChatGPT answer?
No. Nobody can type a correction into the model and have it stick. We find the claim, trace the page it came from, change the pages we can change, and re-test the same prompts.
Did you fix the Shopify description?
We published the correction on our own site, in llms.txt and in Organization structured data, on 2026-10-13. We have not published a re-test, so we do not claim the ChatGPT answer has changed.
Will you publish my audit?
No. Your audit stays private unless you explicitly agree to a public case study.
